Past Activities

Joining our troop makes sense if you like to have fun doing lots of different activities.  Troop 718 does not standardize on a single action, we try to cover it all!

Here is a sample of some of our activities:

Boy Scout High Adventure Camping Treks: Philmont Scout Ranch Cavalcade Trek (horseback trail riding and camping near Cimarron, New Mexico), Florida Sea Base (sailing around the Florida Keys), Sea Base Bahamas Tall Ship Adventure (sailing in the Sea of Abaco).

First Class High Adventure 9-Day Trek:  stops at Kings Canyon, San Francisco, whitewater rafting, Yosemite National Park, Boyden Caves, Ghiradelli Chocolates, and more.

Week-long summer camping trips: Camp Fiesta Island, Camp Whitsett and Camp Emerald Bay.

Family Camping: Red Rock Canyon State Park and model rocket launching.

Fundraising Efforts:  Conejo Valley Days, Camarillo Air Show, Thousand Oaks Street Fair, Westlake Village Street Fair, and school carnivals and festivals.

Other events:  LA Bike Marathon, Service / Community Projects, Scavenger Hunts, Merit Badge work toward Eagle Scout, and whitewater rafting trips.
